Secure the Kids™ Draws Educators from all Over Texas to San Antonio
Rx Technology to bring security experts and schools together for school security seminar

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – November 16, 2009 – Rx Technology, complete data, security, fire and IT solutions provider, today announced the 2009 Secure the Kids™ seminar will be held November 20, 2009 at the Region 20 Educational Services Center in San Antonio, Texas from 1-5pm.

Secure the Kids is a annual seminar put on by Rx Technology as an opportunity for key members of Texas school districts and institutes of higher education to come together and discuss the challenges they face in keeping Texas schools safe and secure. School security experts will be presenting on topics such as: school safety plans, active shooter case studies, disaster preparation and recovery, fire safety and training, the latest in school security technology and more.

About the Speakers
Whitney Crahen is a school fire safety expert with over 25 years of experience specializing in consulting and training services for educational institutions and governmental agencies. She was the 2nd woman in Texas to receive NICET certification in Fire Alarm systems and become an Alarm Planning Superintendent.

Henry L. Homrighaus, Jr. is a security industry veteran with a wealth of experience derived from military, law enforcement and security industry involvement and is the author of "A Primer on Electronic Security for Schools, Universities Institutions."

Following a successful career in law enforcement and as a Chief of Police in Texas, Jim Burkey specializes in security system integration design and implementation and is a certified CEU Instructor.

George Navarro has over 29 years experience in school security with his current position being Police Chief of Bridge City Independent School District. In addition to this experience, he has authored multiple articles on school safety and is a Texas Certified School Safety Specialist
